Astra lives in New York with proud owner, veterinarian Chris Camann, D.V.M. Astra is lovingly trained by Dr. Camann and has already earned the following titles: Canine Good Citizen, Companion Dog, Novice Agility Preferred, Novice Agility Jumpers Astra is also working on backpacking titles, conferred by the American Working Collie Association, and open level titles in obedience and agility. But Dr. Camann reports that ever since Astra has discovered agility, she finds competitive obedience rather boring by comparison!  Clicker training has been the key to Astra's success, and it has also enabled her to learn several clever tricks—including putting her toys away! Astra is the second Rainshade Collie to be fortunate enough to share a home with the Camann family.  In 1992, puppy Rainshade Renaissance Wizard (Merlin) flew to New York to begin his exciting new life with Dr. Camann. Like Astra, Merlin had a strong perfectionist streak in his personality.  Although Dr. Camann's hectic schedule limited his participation in competitive events, Merlin always earned high scores in the obedience ring while obtaining his CD degree. Astra, like all Rainshade Collies, is certified normal-eyed. Thank you Dr. Camann for giving Astra and Merlin such a wonderful, loving home all these years!
