Drifter was destined for adventure. When he was young, Leah Ryan (a Collie judge) and her husband, Barry Ryan, of Vedamea Collies, decided to import Drifter to Australia to join their family.

Not long after his release from Australian quarantine, Drifter sired two champions for Vedamea Collies: Australian Champion Vedamea Courtin' the Blues and Australian Champion Vedamea Herd the Blues. He also has many descendents that are well on their way to their championship titles.
